Brand Concept of “SAROME”
Fascinating flame
The name "SAROME" originates in a novel in which Sarome was a god of fire who lured people.
In the late 1930”s, the founder Kunijiro Segawa read this book and named the company after the god named "SAROUME".
The wishes of the craftsmen to give warmth delivered only by hand-crafted products, their passion for good craftsmanship and products that constantly lure people are included in the name"SAROME."
The concept of flames
Almost of "SAROME" lighters are gas refillable lighters.
"SAROME" considers that odorless gas lighter is best suited to enjoy the scent that articles of taste provide.
In addition, gas lighters stage the flames to suit the scene.
Beam flame to quickly light cigars at pinpoint, natural flame coming in slant direction to circulate easily through the pipe bowl, and turbo flame to light again even when the flame is extinguished in wind.
These are all considerations delivered only with gas lighters.
"SAROME" tries to create flames that blend in our daily life not as a leading player but as a supporting player to smoking and that give you the sense of craftsmanship occasionally.
SAROME Design Concept
Most components of SAROME are metal. Resin is avoided as much as possible.
Alloy molding is also shunned. Wherever possible, the parts are press-worked to perfect the detailing and beauty of the metal work.
Metallic luster and massiveness are the design principles for SAROME products. Lightness is eliminated from all elements, including the color tones and the feeling of the products in operation.
The structures are created through artisanal metal-working techniques. The designs appeal to core human instincts.
They may look simple at first glance. But in essence, they are always more precious.
The unique features of SAROME have been maintained since the day the brand was born. They will live on from generation to generation, defying borders of categories.
